Eric was raised in Maple Ridge, BC. Eric completed his Chief Officer examinations while working on various ships internationally and later domestically. In 2014 Eric altered his career course closer to home where he now works on vessels within B.C. waters.

Eric feels compelled to honour the ideals and vision of his best friend in committing to the Tyler Lewis Clean Energy Research Foundation and helping to ensure its prolonged success and ability to initiate positive environmental impacts for future generations.
