Lynn grew up with her family in Michigan where she attended Michigan State University earning her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 1979 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. She began veterinary practice in Michigan and continued it in British Columbia after marrying Graham Lewis and immigrating to Canada in 1984. Following the birth of their only child Tyler in 1986, Lynn practiced veterinary medicine part time while she and Graham raised their son. Lynn was forced to leave veterinary practice in 1997 after a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. In 1998, Lynn established the Alouette Tutoring Center which she owned and operated until her retirement in 2013.
Lynn is actively involved with her local neighborhood association and city programs. She enjoys traveling, hiking, nature photography, pottery and gardening at home. Her family and friends are the center of her world.
Lynn is deeply committed to the goals of The Tyler Lewis Clean Energy Foundation and sees it is as a powerful vehicle to carry forward her son’s passion to make the world a better place.
